Vivonics awarded $1M contract to develop brain injury monitor

Vivonics has been awarded a $1M from the US Defense Health Program to further develop a Portable Multi-Modal Traumatic Brain Injury Monitor.  The PMT monitor combines several neurological tests into a single compact form factor and greatly simplifies the testing necessary to pinpoint mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI).  Under earlier work, Vivonics has fabricated and demonstrated a prototype portable system for performing a Visually Evoked Potential (VEP) test, and created a noninvasive compact monitor for Intracranial Pressure.  These will be further refined and added to under the present funding.  Vivonics once again is collaborating with our clinical partners at the Mayo Clinic for this important work; clinical studies will commence at Mayo in 2016.
