Vivonics Awarded USAMRAA Contract to Develop PATCH

Vivonics was recently awarded a $100,000 contract with the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity to develop PATCH - Persistent Access to Tactical Casualty Health.

In this Phase I research, Vivonics will develop a patient following electronic Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) cards by developing a low profile electronics package capable of receiving, storing (solid state), and transmitting TCCC information to and from an end user device (EUD) using Near Field Communication (NFC). This capability is embedded in a wearable patch that can be placed on the patient anywhere away from injury.

Dr. Ryan Myers of Vivonics will be acting as Principal Investigator for this project.
