On May 12th, 2020 Vivonics’ subsidiary, CranioSense, was highlighted as a Finalist for the 2020 M2D2 $200K Challenge. In a recent post on the M2D2 blog, CranioSense CEO Gordon Hirschman was interviewed about CranioSense’s development of IPASS, a device for noninvasive assessment of Intracranial Pressure (ICP) that would aid in the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI).

Although the pitching event has been postponed due to the suspension of large-scale meetings due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we are honored to have been selected and look forward to participating when the event is rescheduled!

Dr. Ryan Myers attended the 5th MTEC Annual Meeting representing the Vivonics Team March 4th and March 5th in Houston, Texas. During the two-day event, Dr. Myers presented Vivonics’ areas of expertise, including our innovative, newly developed contactless monitoring system.

During the week of December 2nd, Dr. Michele Pierro, Ms. Saukhyda Deshmukh and Mr. Diego Alvarado participated in the 2019 Physiological Analysis Tool (PAT) Tech Sprint in Tampa, Florida.

Vivonics is happy to announce that we were awarded a 2019 Defense Innovation Award from Defense TechConnect. Vivonics’ Non-contact Tissue Viability Assessment (NTVA) research placed in the Medical/Health category and was recognized as one of the top submitted challenge technologies.

Dr. Michele Pierro and Ms. Nikole Shooshan represented Vivonics at the International Symposium on Intracranial Pressure and Neuromonitoring (ICP 2019) in Leuven, Belgium earlier this month. Dr. Pierro presented a poster on Vivonics’ Intracranial Pressure Assessment and Screening System (IPASS).

Vivonics was recently awarded a $225,000 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the NIH to develop SympTMM, Symptomatic Toxicity Mobile Monitor.

Vivonics was recently awarded a $235,000 National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) contract for the Development of a Wearable Near-Infrared Blood Alcohol Content Monitor.
